"3 star hotel with 4 star feeling" - by A verified traveler Hudson, Quebec, Canada, Apr 23, 2017

Good quality hotel and service. Excellent location on a quiet street (unusual for Saigon). Good and varied breakfast. Surprisingly good set menu supper at VERY low cost. Great hotel spa massage! While doormen service was excellent, smiling faces would improve the welcome.

"Excellent choice in central Saigon" - Michael, Feb 6, 2017

Perfect for my needs, clean, comfortable, safe, good price. Nice vegetarian restaurant 300 feet from door and many other restaurants close by. I walked to many attractions, could also use cheap taxi ride.

"Good place for business trip and if you go on day tours" - Ralph, 23 November 2016

(+) Morning buffet was excellent. I was a bit late for a Saturday breakfast, but they served me the whole thing and whatever I wanted. Nice staff. In the middle of the area with all the good restaurants. And still quiet and comfy. (-) Mini bar was not always restocked in my case, but not a big problem.

"Great Experience!" - David Malaysia, Feb 15, 2016

The hotel is under-rated. It should be 3.5 star. The reception staff speak English. They are helpful. The location is within the walking distance to the tourist attractions like Notre Dame, Opera House, Post Office, etc. + Good Service

"Good Value, Modern Hotel" - by A verified traveler, Aug 2, 2016

Good location, easy walk to most of the Central area. Clean rooms, pleasant staff. Very near lots of shopping

"Best 3-4 star hotel in HCM for quality vs value" - Jonathan Manchester, Sep 4, 2016

After staying in a variety of 4 and 5 star hotels in HCM it was unbelievable how Aquari hotel matches up to some other even some 5 star hotels and all at a fraction of the price. Location, service, rooms, restaurant, breakfast are all excellent.

"Great place to stay" - komuter singapore, Dec 6, 2016

he staff are polite and friendly, room is clean and comfortable with a nice sofa. A surprise is the personal safe that uses finger print to operate. Breakfast from our expectation is good. Overall experience was very good. +Room, breakfast and work attitude of staff -As the floor is not carpeted, chair dragging noise from room above can be irritating. Suggest fitting felt at bottom of chairs' leg. +Not far from shopping centre like Vincom, and attraction like Nortre dame and Saigon central post office. Helpful 1

"Pleasing" - Palmy Quezon City , Philippines, Jan 18, 2016

"Awesome !! Great hotel in a fantastic location" - Pushkaraj Auckland, New Zealand, Jan 16, 2016

This is my second stay and surely not the last one as this is a real value for money. Great hotel in a perfect location. Clean and modern room, Comfortable bed and fantastic location with friendly service. Only concern was about breakfast timing which ends at 9.00 am so I couldn't try it even though it was included in my stay. Already given a feedback and hope it will be changed when i return. Other than that......fantastic hotel !!

"Great comfortable place" - A verified traveler, Nov 4, 2015

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast variety was pretty good. Room was big and clean. However, there were extra phenomenon that happen during our last night which creeps us out slightly. Neighborhood is pretty quiet with good massage parlour nearby call 'My Spa'. Great coffee place around the corner as well.

"Great hotel at district 1" - Felicia P., Singapore - March 17, 2015

The room is spacious, clean, bright. Very pleasant experience, staff knows basic english so no language barrier. Breakfast spread was sufficient and tasty. Easily accessible but taxis are really dishonest here.

"Great Hotel in a fantastic location" - Pushkaraj N., New Zealand - January 24, 2015

Great stay at Aquari.....nice and clean hotel in a great location. Everything at a walking distance and friendly staff.

"Executive Rooms Make a Difference" - Chris O., United Kingdom - January 13, 2015

I decided to splash out on a bit of luxury for a couple of days. It was worth it. The bath was great, the bed is comfortable, and the exec room is big. Staff helped with moving bags etc. As with most Vietnamese hotels, the TV is not worth bothering with. But that's because VN TV is boring. The TV had an HDMI connection, so next time I will download a film and connect my PC. The hotel does not rent motorbikes, so we had to go find our own. If you know Vietnam well, then access to a motorbike is normal and necessary. The executive room comfort, it's size, and the fact that it has a jacuzzi bath.

“Great experience!” - Art S, London, United Kingdom - January 7, 2015

We stayed at Aquari over 4 nights before Christmas and 1 night in the New 2015 year. Very pleased overall as the hotel is only 3 star rated. On overall ambiance and service the performance is easily 4/5 star. We stayed on 8 and 11 floors. Rooms are well isolated with a whisper quiet air con performing well at night. Some friends stayed on lower floors and mentioned that it was possible to hear faint music at night played in corridors, as some hotels do, but it never bothered us and in fact and it was completely non intrusive. Comfortable king size beds and kettle plus tea/coffee in each room. Complimentary bottled water too. Restaurant performed very extensive breakfasts with wide variety of Asian and Western foods as well as a chef on stand by for on the spot cooking. Very well placed in Quan 1 with easy access on foot to Old Market, Opera Square and Notre Dame.

"My go to Hotel when in HCMC" - James, USA - January 4, 2015

Solo traveler who enjoys the staff, location and comfort of this Hotel. Been there many times and have never had any problems.

“Pleasant stay!” - Harrie70, Haarlem, The Netherlands - January 2, 2015

We've been here 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is perfectly located in district 1, rooms are very quiet though. We booked a room with a view at the Riverside. Nice! (10th Floor). The rooms are nicely decorated and have a kingsize bed and a very good hot shower. Airco is running smoothly (no noise). The Spa is wonderful and massages are done by well trained staff. At the lobby there is a coffee corner with Vietnamese coffee and Nespresso.

“Wonderful” - Brigid R - December 21, 2014

My friend and I stayed here not realising it was a buisness hotel. However it was very very clean, beautiful interior, very friendly staff and an excellent location so I would stay again or recommend to others. The only downside of staying in a buisness hotel was that breakfast is only served until 9am. My friend and I had a sixth floor river view room. The river is actually a block or two away so the view was nice but I could probably have saved money by not upgrading and been just as happy. The hotel was very quiet and staff were available at all hours. Very enjoyable stay!!

Fantastic hotel!! - Brigid R., Australia - December 20, 2014

Great! 4 star experience in a 3 star hotel - Yakitoriboy - December 12, 2014

Wow. I was pleasantly surprised. My company booked me this hotel on a short business trip to Ho Chi Minh. Previously I stayed in Nikko Saigon (which is a great hotel as well), but this time, I thought I try a hotel closer to Le Thanh Ton Street, which is sort of a Japanese area and where most of my clients like to go for dinner. I stayed in the Royal Suite room (Highly recommended). The room is huge and clean. It comes with a bathtub and all the toiletries that you would need on a business trip. The view was facing the hotel next door, but there was an option to choose the river view, which I am sure is a lot nicer. Breakfast was delicious as well and a good mix of Asian and western options. The bellboy was also very friendly and helpful in flagging down taxis and helping with my luggage. Looking forward to staying in this hotel again. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly terrific!! - Oiltasters, Milwaukee, Wisconsin - November 27, 2014

Very nice little hotel. Clean rooms, good size. Very good beds and pillows. In-room thermostats give quick accurate temp control in steamy-hot Vietnam. Breakfasts have variety of choices including made to order omelettes. Nice modest lobby works for meeting business contacts for coffee, tea, or a drink. Location is on a quiet street, with cabs always on standby. Short walk to many good restaurants (one block off main street), as well as riverfront attractions. The service could NOT have been better or more friendly! Such an unassuming little gem, at a great price, . . . so pleasant for a weary business traveller!

Fantastic hotel - Alix P - November 8, 2014

Can't rate this hotel highly enough - great location, lovely rooms, amazing spa, helpful and attentive staff and a fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice! Well worth a stay if you're visiting Saigon. If the spa is still offering 30% off I would say that it is well worth a visit too - revitalise yourself after a day in the city!

Nice, clean. Roomy, great staff - Michael B., USA - October 4, 2014

Staff, as always, can make or break a hotel and staff here makes it in spades. Friendly and helpful and always there when you need them with a question. The only thing that was not perfect was the drain in the bath. Drained very slowly so when you showered it would start filling up the tub. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

Great Spa! - Sabrina T, Winnipeg - September 10, 2014

This is a lovely hotel with a neat bathroom.....you can see the cityscape while showering. Great breakfast and a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The best part of this hotel is the spa! I have to say it was the best spa experience I have ever had. The process is the sauna, steam room, then a cold water plunge and finally a hot water plunge now you are ready for the best massage ever!

Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff - Lim, Singapore - September 8, 2014

The hotel is centrally located. The staff are friendly and helpful. Check in and out was fast. Hotel room is clean and nice. Basic amenities were all provided for.

Don't Miss the Spa! - Reliantship- July 29, 2014

I stayed here for a week on business, arranged by a Vietnamese colleague who stays here frequently. My corner room on the 5th floor had a city view, comfy bed, modern bathroom with shower, ample storage and a nice desk with outlets to charge my stuff. I enjoyed having breakfast with a view of life unfolding on the quiet street below. The breakfast was somewhat limited to Asian choices with no cheese that I could find, but you travel to try something different, right? I booked a nice tour to Cu Chi at the front desk at a lower price than at a tourist agency. It's a short walk past a construction site to the Opera House and Dong Khoi Street. But you'll want to stay in to enjoy the Gingko Spa which was having a 30% off special during my stay, making prices competitive with the many massage places in the area. I tried both the herbal and stone massages, a bargain for 60 minutes in serene, upscale surroundings. A lovely stay!

Excellent Central Ho Chi Minh Hotel - CDF713, Santa Ana, California, USA - July 27, 2014

A little gem of a hotel. Great, friendly staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast buffet. This boutique hotel is located close (5-7 min walk) to the Opera House and many wonderful eating spots (The Refinery is one of them + Ciao Bella nearby). Good place.

One of My Favourite Hotels in HCMC - Greg S, Bangkok, Thailand - July 25, 2014

Quiet hotels in HCMMC can be hard to find, the Aquari is in District 1 and bear everything but it's on a street that is not very busy and it's quiet. I've stayed here twice and both time is a 'sunrise deluxe' room facing the street. They are very spacious and the condition of everything in the room is excellent. The breakfast lets this hotel down slightly, if you don't eat an Asian breakfast then its the usual western fare of an omelette and jam & toast. If the Aquari is close to your price range just book this hotel, it's not 5 star or overly flash...but it's a very good comfortable hotel and you should be satisfied.

More than adequate - AandSKB, Cheltenham, United Kingdom - June 9, 2014

Our travel company chose the Aquari as part of a group tour but, as we booked an extra night directly, we feel able to comment.objectively. It is, as many have commented, primarily a downtown business hotel but we do not understand the negative comments about the location - it was quite close enough to the centre for us. We arrived at 2.00am, after horrendous flight delays and no opportunity to warn the hotel, but the reservation had been held and the night staff were extremely welcoming. It's nothing special, and we can't comment on the value relative to similar hotels in HCMC, but the rooms have everything a weary traveller needs and all the staff were great. We'd very happily return tomorrow!

The location, comfort, cleanliness and friendliness surpassed my expectations - Claire, United Kingdom - May 12, 2014

The location, comfort, cleanliness and friendliness surpassed my expectations - and for the money, were incredible. I also went on to stay at the Caravelle Hotel for the business part of my trip and felt that I had enjoyed the comfort of the Aquari equally as well as the luxe of the Caravelle. Service charming and efficient. I took two tours that the reception staff organised for me and they were great. I booked a deluxe room with river view - and it was large, clean, and had a picture window view across the Saigon river - terrific!!! I recommend it unstintingly.
